I am so thankful I found Dr. Uggen! I recently had total knee replacement on my left knee and 4 months later my right knee. Dr Uggen took the time to listen and care about me. He was great at explaining everything and he looked at me while we talked. That might sound crazy, but the fact that he looks at me while we visit, lets me know that he is truly listening. His whole staff is that way and it makes the experience very pleasant. Plus, all appointments were on time!! The surgery staff and facility was extremely nice. Everything went like clockwork. I was attended to very well- I can't say that enough! And the food was wonderful too! Thank you Surgical Center!! I am doing great! I am glad I had knee surgery, it was way easier then I thought it would be. Dr. Uggen, You're the Man!! My bad knees were dragging me down. Thanks to you, I feel like I've got my life back!!

I am so happy and thankful to share my successful knee replacement surgery story. After years of pain, and a decrease in my quality and enjoyment of life, I knew I could no longer put off knee replacement surgery. While planning for this decision, I remembered what a Physical Therapist shared with me: Dr. Jon Uggen’s patients had much more mobility after surgery compared to other orthopedic doctors. I am so glad I listened to the Physical Therapist and called Dr. Uggen! Dr. Uggen replaced my first knee in July with very little pain and I could straighten my knee 2 hours after surgery. I only needed to stay in the hospital for 24 hours, stopped taking prescription pain pills after 5 days and did not need to use my walker at home after 6 days. My Physical therapist, and my family, were shocked and so pleased by how well I was walking, standing and feeling only 4 days after surgery. Dr. Uggen made my knee replacement experience a success by listening to my concerns and fears with kindness and compassion, and he strove to make my knee replacement as painless as possible. His patients are in such caring, and competent hands. I am thankful, my entire family too, for Dr. Uggen and the new lease on life he has given me. I cannot wait for my next knee replacement surgery in October! Thank you Dr. Uggen for helping me to be able to enjoy my life more fully now. I will forever be thankful for you!

Dr. Uggen is the most caring, compassionate, personable, skilled surgeon we have ever had the privilege of knowing. His direct anterior approach to total hip replacement is a wonderful option to better recovery. He takes his time with you, answers all questions in a manner you can understand, makes you feel very comfortable and gives you plenty of resources to know what to do when you get home, during Covid, I was still able to have this surgery at the surgery center with no problems.

Dr. Uggen replaced my worn out hip in January. It went so much better than I every could have hoped! He uses the anterior approach, incision on the front, which means less pain and faster recovery. I was walking without pain the first week! It was a very good experience, from the friendly competent people in the office to the terrific hospital staff. One night in the hospital! I highly recommend Dr. Uggen!!

I normally do not write reviews, but I felt compelled to write about my anterior hip replacement by Dr. Uggen, since it was so successful.
My surgery was June 3rd & I went home the next day. In about 2 1/2 weeks after surgery, I was walking without my walker or cane. I am a 73 year old female & amazed how quickly my recovery has been with minimal pain.
Dr. Uggen is very knowledgeable, professional & personable.

Dr. Jon Uggen is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He replaced my knee after exhausting all other options. Dr. Uggen explains thoroughly what is happening and what we can do to resolve it or make it better. He wants nothing but the quality of life, for his patient, to be the best it can be!
